3/30/12 - Friends & Gardening

Today we hung out with good friends!
Two of my best buds have children similar in age to my kids.
They all get along wonderfully (most of the time!).

Isabelle and Lily on a picnic with their babies. (Notice Isabelle's baby is a giraffe. She is VERY into animals.)

All grown up.

Isabelle, Lily, Banning, and Eli , playing in the tent.

Barber shop.

John's favorite toy (aside from Isabelle's hairbrush.)

Five little monkeys, jumping on a bed...
My friend Brittany and I are going to attempt to garden this summer.
I rent, so I am unable to do much here. Brittany already has a raised bed in her back yard, and has graciously allowed me to join her.
We will see how this goes!

Before.

Daniel giving us a hand.

After.

Shopping for supplies at Lowe's. I wonder what is so interesting? Hehe

3/29/12 - Thursday routine and my worst food habit...

Our day today:

My baby boy is growing up!

This picture cracks me up. It has already begun! (Look at his belly!!)

This picture reminds me of a professional swimmer. ;)

Sam's Club. (If you look closely, you can see John's latest favorite "toy", Isabelle's hairbrush.)

Afternoon school.

Video that goes along with her school. I thought this little girl looked a lot like Isabelle.

Play time. (And just a bit of perspective as to how large John is. At 9 mo, he is only a head shorter than his 4 yo sister.)

John's favorite toy, Isabelle's hairbrush. He is obsessed.

Dinner time. Eating rice and keem. (Seaweed.)

Enjoying seaweed.

More school after dinner. (Currently her favorite activity.)

3/28/12 - Walking Dinosaur

Last minute thoughts.
Although I often feel like a dinosaur ;) the blog title is actually in reference to my daughter.
Isabelle currently wants to be a walking dinosaur when she grows up.
If she can't be a dinosaur, she would be happy to be a dragon.

3/28/12 - Planning...

I always get really excited about weight loss and jump in with two feet....for about a day. I spend more time planning and calculating than I do actually following through.
I have decided that perhaps I should begin with a few smaller changes and work my way up.
(Genius, right? Ha.)

First change:
Go to bed earlier.
This is a huge issue for me. I stay up late ALL of the time. John sleeps through the night, so I have NO excuse.
I know that getting more rest will give me more energy and motivation.
Currently, my average bed time is 2 am. Horrible!
My goal from now on is to starting getting ready for bed at midnight, and be in bed shortly after.
(I had better hurry this up!)

3/27/12 - Accountability

It has been 9 months since John was born, and I am still wearing maternity clothes. And drawstring pants. And comfy granny shoes.
Almost all of my clothes are things that I have had since Isabelle was born. I hate to buy things when I'm just going to lose weight. ....
Ha! So I've been saying for 4 years.

It's not like I don't know what to do. I just LOVE food. :)

But it is time to make an effort to begin a healthy lifestyle so that I can set a good example for my children (and be able to enjoy my time with them).

I am hoping public humiliation will be just the kick in the rear that I need to be successful. ;)

Several things need to change.

Sleep habits.
Exercise.
Food choices.

Tomorrow I'll post my weight loss/gain history and plans for change!

And....just for fun: (well, fun for you, not me)
Before babies

After two babies...and lots of good food! In fact, ...we were having ice cream here.

3/27/12 - Play time

I love these kids!

John is looking more and more like a little boy.

On the move!

I can't believe he can hold up all of his body weight. :P

Cooking dinner...

...or not.

<3

Grrrr!!!

This boy loves to climb!

Doing school in the car.

3/24/12 - Party day

Isabelle had a wonderful time with friends today!
I only got a few pictures. My friend Michelle took a lot as a gift (she is an amazing photographer!). I can't wait to see what she was able to capture!

Brunch

Isabelle loves How to Train Your Dragon

Isabelle and friends

Isabelle and Banning, concerned when Eli took off and went into the middle of the rink.

Over the shoe skates. They hardly roll, which means she basically walks around the rink.

Dinner at HuHot. We go often enough that the manager knows us. She gave Isabelle a free Smores dessert for her birthday. :)
