I always get really excited about weight loss and jump in with two feet....for about a day. I spend more time planning and calculating than I do actually following through.
I have decided that perhaps I should begin with a few smaller changes and work my way up.
(Genius, right? Ha.)
First change:
Go to bed earlier.
This is a huge issue for me. I stay up late ALL of the time. John sleeps through the night, so I have NO excuse.
I know that getting more rest will give me more energy and motivation.
Currently, my average bed time is 2 am. Horrible!
My goal from now on is to starting getting ready for bed at midnight, and be in bed shortly after.
(I had better hurry this up!)
History:
I was always a bit chubby as a child.
Slightly overweight throughout middle and high school.
And...college. Yikes.
By the time I started graduate school, I was around 225 pounds.
My friend and I joined Weight Watchers together, and I lost 90 pounds in about a year.
I went from a size 20 to a size 4.
So, I know that it is possible, but it's also a little daunting, because I know how much hard work it is to accomplish.
Let me just say that the size 4 is in the past. That is when I had a whole lot of time on my hands.
I am WAY too busy to keep up with that now.
I gained 65 pounds with Isabelle.
I got down to about 165 before I got pregnant with John.
I gained around 40 pounds with John.
I just want to be comfortable and set a good example for the kiddos.
We'll see how this goes!
